I’m Cheyenne! I’m originally from a small town of under 500 people in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. After visiting my sister in the Bay Area in 2016 for the summer, I spontaneously decided to make California my home ever since.
I spent the majority of my first years in California as a live-in nanny studying Psychology in online college. After feeling like something was missing in my career, I decided to take another leap of faith and attend cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell The School Sacramento during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Although I didn’t end up pursuing a career in psychology, I find so much joy interacting with my guests and being able to verbally encourage them and sympathize with them about whatever situation they are currently going through.
During the pandemic, I really saw an emergence in lived-in hair color versus your typical more high maintenance looks. I fell in love with balayage and blonding, and found myself spending hours of my days watching hair videos on Instagram. It was then I realized that I wanted to create highlights that looked as if that person had grown them right from their very own scalp, despite their natural starting level.
One of the things I’m most excited about learning in my new career is Invisible Bead Extensions. I have a finer hair type, and I’ve been wearing all types of extensions since I was 18 years old. I love how I feel and the confidence boost I get when I have my extensions in!
When I’m not in the salon, I love punching my stress away at a boxing class or taking my two young nephews to the park. My typical night in with my partner Noah always involves some type of action movie and yummy Mexican food. Growing up in a small town, I didn’t have a lot of access to luxury, so I’m excited to be able to work with Erin and create an amazing experience for all of our current and future guests
